Since the pandemic began…

Here’s what’s going on. I’m writing like crazy and have finished not only a third 80s vampire book, but a retelling of Dicken’s Great Expectations that is entitled Great Hexpectations, and now, finishing up a third LGBT New Adult book about my old characters, Oz and Coney, who live in the fantasy universe of Despair along with Heather and Emmett and Johnny and Sam and all of them. (It is a separate universe from Vinnie the vampire’s, since he might bite my other characters. In the zoo of my characters, Vinnie is caged separately.)

This pandemic has caused a lot of emotional turmoil and uproar. This causes me to expel books. It is my way of dealing with stress–and there has been stress.

But where are all these new books, you say? The truth is that I’m looking for formal representation, so I’ve paused the indie publishing to pursue that. I do have some fakey-fake covers I made to represent them, and I hope the books (not these covers–yeeach) will be seen in print one day soon. One of my older stories, “World’s Edge,” will be seen in Bewildering Stories online magazine as of May 24…

And this represents the forefront of a new effort for me–getting my work traditionally published. I’m just tired, yo, the indie publishing is a lot of not-writing-related work, and I want to write. Below are self-made covers of things I’ve written since the pandemic began, some available for indie purchase, and some held in hiatus until I find a publisher.

There may have been others, but the world will never know. But I can say … there will be more.
