In the spirit of helping people out during the COVID-19 pandemic, I’m offering all my books for 99 cents each. The Heather Despair collection, which contains three books, is now $3. I wish I could do more, but it seems like sitting in my house and making books quietly is how I can help best right now. They are also free if you use Kindle Unlimited.

In other news, I just read again for the Village Books Open Mic. I got roped into doing it again at the end of June. Okay, it was awesome. We did this virtually, and it was easier than going down there in person, but I missed seeing people’s reactions. I’m also doing an open mic for a NaNoWriMo group I hang out with on discord. We used to do write-ins that were really just chat and gossip time + eat some pad Thai, and I miss those.

I’m doing so many open mics that I bought myself a fancy new mic or mike or WHATEVER, but I’m seriously considering reading on YouTube and inviting other writers to read. I just like reading, and I know other writers that do, too. It really helps to hone the work when you read it in front of others.

I’ll get back on here after Microsoft David and Microsoft Zira and I are finished revising all my manuscripts. They are my new partners in editing crime. Yes, like so many things today, they are virtual people. I just love what Microsoft David sounds like when his speed is turned down slow. And I’ll never get over that he pronounces “Ernesto” as “Ecko-beyto.” I love that so much, I’ll probably name a character that.
