Tonight! June 26, Village Books Open Mic reading

A reading of matrimonial proportions, I will read an excerpt from the wedding of Coney Idyll and Oskar Ottokar Chandler. There is a wedding theme in June, and I could not resist reading from my interspiritual and LGBT wedding chapter.

When writing the final chapter to cap the Despair ‘verse stories, I felt entitled to go pretty bananas, so I planned their wedding suits, the bridesmaid dresses, color of flowers, order of the processional, wedding party, music, guests, rings, inscribed messages for the rings, vows, methods of delivering invitations, decorations, and probably a few other things I’ve forgotten about by now.

There was also an engagement party in the book, although the evil spirit god, Bellum, attended and pretty much ruined the whole thing.

This wasn’t quite the last thing I wrote about the Despair ‘verse since a short story about Sam d’Espers, Old Punks Die Hard, will be published in the upcoming HamLit, a journal of local writers in Bellingham. This publication should be out on June 27th, so I’ll post a link when I get word.
